Lindenwood University today announced that University 总统 Dr. John Porter has been appointed to the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) Council of 总统s. The council leverages the experience, 视角, and insights of its members with active leadership roles for the development of AGB expertise designed to strengthen strategic board governance across higher education.

Part of the University’s five-year strategic plan, Lindenwood Global will create an online division that provides a personalized online educational experience, adaptable to students’ individual learning styles. Lindenwood Global will help students achieve their personal, academic, and professional outcomes.

Lindenwood University will host its winter commencement ceremonies Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11 at the Family Arena in St. 查尔斯.

In the digital age, Esports has boomed. High schools have clubs and competitive teams, and students can join teams at the university level for athletic scholarships. Lindenwood has their own Esports team, and the Exercise Science department is getting in on the action.

Lindenwood University will host its annual Winterfest, Sunday, December 5 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. on the heritage side of campus. Formerly known as Christmas Walk, the event brings together the campus and the community for an evening of holiday merriment. 

Lindenwood University’s Department of Public Safety and Security has received accreditation from the National Association of College Safety Administrators. The NASCA accreditation commission evaluates university safety departments and awards recognition on several criteria including excellence in training, 人员实践, the operations of the department, and national compliance standards.

Dr. Gabriela Romero-Ghiretti, Department Head of Modern Languages for the College of Arts and Humanities at Lindenwood University, is active in the local Hispanic community and has been working to foster success in community engagement with multiple cultures both here and abroad.
